And the two angels came into Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting by the gate of Sodom. And Lot saw them and rose up to meet them, and he bowed down with his face to the ground.

And he said, Behold, lords, turn aside into the house of your servant and stay the night, and wash your feet, and rising early you shall depart on your way. But they said, No, but in the square we will stay the night.

And he pressed them strongly, and they turned aside to him and entered into his house, and he made them a drink, and he baked unleavened cakes for them, and they ate

Before they lay down to sleep, the men of the city, the Sodomites, surrounded the house, from young man to old man, all the people together

And they were calling out to Lot and saying to him, Where are the men who came in to you by night? Bring them out to us, that we may lie with them.

And Lot went out to them to the doorway, and he shut the door behind him.

And he said to them, By no means, brothers, do not act wickedly.

And I have two daughters who have not known a man; I will bring them out to you, and do to them as it may please you, only to these men do nothing unjust, because of whom they entered under the shelter of my roof beams

But they said, Stand off there. You came in to sojourn, and do you even judge judgment? Now then we will mistreat you rather than them. And they were pressing hard upon the man Lot very much, and they drew near to break the door.

But the men stretched out their hands and drew Lot in toward themselves into the house, and they shut the door of the house.

And the men who were at the door of the house they struck with blindness, from small to great, and they became weary seeking the door.

Then the men said to Lot, Is there anyone here with you, sons-in-law or sons or daughters, or if there is anyone else of yours in the city, bring them out of this place

For we are destroying this place, because their outcry has been raised before the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.

And Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, those who had taken his daughters, and said, Rise up and go out from this place, for the Lord is destroying the city; but he seemed to be joking before his sons-in-law.

But when dawn was coming, the angels were urging Lot, saying, Rise, take your wife and your two daughters whom you have, and go out, lest you be swept away with the lawless deeds of the city.

And they were troubled, and the angels took hold of his hand and of the hand of his wife and of the hands of his two daughters, in the Lord’s sparing him.

And it came to pass when they had brought them outside, that they said, Saving, save your own life; do not look back, nor stand in all the district; save yourself into the mountain, lest you be taken along with them.

But Lot said to them, I beg you, Lord.

since your servant has found mercy before you, and you have magnified your righteousness, which you do upon me, to preserve my life, but I shall not be able to be saved to the mountain, lest the evils overtake me and I die

Behold, this city is near for me to flee there, and it is small; there I shall be saved. Is it not small? And my soul shall live.

And he said to him, Behold, I have marveled at your face, and concerning this matter, not to destroy the city about which you spoke

Hurry therefore to be saved there, for I will not be able to do anything until your entering there; therefore he called the name of that city Zoar

The sun had come out upon the earth, and Lot entered into Zoar.

And the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven

And he overthrew these cities and all the surrounding region and all those dwelling in the cities and everything growing up from the earth

And his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

And Abraham rose early in the morning to the place where he had stood before the Lord.

And he looked upon the face of Sodom and Gomorrah and upon the face of the land of the surrounding area, and he saw, and behold, a flame was going up from the land like the steam of a furnace.

And it came to pass, when the Lord destroyed all the cities of the region round about, God remembered Abraham and sent Lot out from the midst of the destruction, when the Lord destroyed the cities in which Lot was dwelling among them.

And Lot went up from Segor and sat in the mountain, and his two daughters with him, for he was afraid to dwell in Segor, and he dwelt in the cave, he and his two daughters with him.

And the older said to the younger, Our father is old, and there is no one on the earth who will go in to us as is fitting for all the earth.

Come, and let us give our father wine to drink, and let us lie with him, and let us raise up seed from our father.

And they gave their father wine to drink in that night, and the elder went in and lay with her father that night, and he did not know in her lying down and in her rising up.

And it happened on the next day, and the elder said to the younger, Behold, I lay last night with our father; let us give him wine to drink also this night, and go in, lie with him, and we will raise up seed from our father.

And they also gave their father wine to drink in that night, and the younger went in and lay down with her father, and he did not know when she lay down and when she rose up.

And the two daughters of Lot conceived from their father.

And the elder bore a son and called his name Moab, saying, From my father this one is father of the Moabites to this day.

And the younger also bore a son, and she called his name Amman, son of my kin; this is the father of the Ammanites until this day.
