Who raised up righteousness from the east? He called it to follow at his feet, and it will go; he will give before nations, and he will amaze kings; and he will give their swords into the ground, and their bows as driven stubble.

The craftsman strengthened the man and the smith, striking with a hammer, driving at once; at one time he will say, A mold is good; they strengthened them with nails; they will set them, and they shall not be moved.

The poor and the needy will seek water, and their tongue will not be dried up from thirst. I am the Lord God; I, the God of Israel, will hear them, and I will not forsake them.

Let them draw near and let them declare to you what will happen, or what were the former things; say, and we will pay attention and know what the last things are and the things coming upon us; say to us.

But I have raised up one from the north and one from the rising of the sun; they shall be called by my name. Let rulers come, and as potter’s clay and as a potter treading clay, so you shall be trodden down.
