Be renewed toward me, islands; for the rulers shall exchange strength. Let them draw near and let them speak together; then let them declare judgment.

Who raised up righteousness from the east? He called it to follow at his feet, and it will go; he will give before nations, and he will amaze kings; and he will give their swords into the ground, and their bows as driven stubble.

And he will pursue them and will pass through in peace, the way of his feet.

Who has worked and done these things, calling it? He who calls it from generations of old: I God, the first, and for the coming things, I am.

The nations saw and feared; the ends of the earth drew near and came together.

each one judging his neighbor and helping his brother, and he will say

The craftsman strengthened the man and the smith, striking with a hammer, driving at once; at one time he will say, A mold is good; they strengthened them with nails; they will set them, and they shall not be moved.

But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob whom I chose, seed of Abraham whom I loved

whom I took hold of from the ends of the earth and from its watchtowers I called you and said to you, You are my servant; I chose you and did not forsake you

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not wander, for I am your God, who strengthened you and helped you and I have upheld you with my righteous right hand

Behold, all who oppose you shall be ashamed and be put to shame; for they shall be as though they were not, and all your adversaries shall perish.

You will seek them and you will certainly not find the men who will rage against you, for they will be as though not existing, and those warring against you will not be.

For I am your God, the one who holds your right hand, the one saying to you, Do not fear

Jacob, you of little number, Israel, I have helped you, says God, the one redeeming you, Israel

Behold, I have made you as new threshing-sledge wheels of a cart, toothed, and you will thresh mountains and you will make hills thin, and you will make them as chaff.

And you shall winnow them, and the wind shall take them, and a storm shall scatter them; but you shall rejoice in the holy ones of Israel, and they shall exult.

The poor and the needy will seek water, and their tongue will not be dried up from thirst. I am the Lord God; I, the God of Israel, will hear them, and I will not forsake them.

But I will open rivers upon the mountains and in the midst of the plains I will make springs; I will make the wilderness into marshland and the thirsty land into watercourses

I will set in the waterless land cedar and box tree and myrtle and cypress and poplar

so that they may see and know and understand and together consider that the hand of the Lord has done all these things, and the Holy One of Israel has shown it

Your case is near, says the Lord God; your plans have drawn near, says the King of Jacob.

Let them draw near and let them declare to you what will happen, or what were the former things; say, and we will pay attention and know what the last things are and the things coming upon us; say to us.

Declare to us the things that are coming in the end, and we will know that you are gods. Do good and do evil, and we shall marvel and see together.

For from where are you, and from where is your work? From the earth they chose you as an abomination.

But I have raised up one from the north and one from the rising of the sun; they shall be called by my name. Let rulers come, and as potter’s clay and as a potter treading clay, so you shall be trodden down.

For who will declare the things from the beginning, that we may know, and the things beforehand, and we will say that they are true? There is no one foretelling, nor anyone hearing your words.

First to Zion I will give, and Jerusalem I will comfort on the way.

For from the nations, behold, there was no one, and from their idols there was none who proclaimed, and if I ask them, From where are you? they will by no means answer me.

For they are those who make you, and vain are those who lead you astray.
